Great American Sauna Company M Series 2 Person Sauna Review

I ordered the sauna on 1/22 and received it on 1/28. The sauna is packed in a sturdy box with cardboard blocks to prevent shifting. The delivery driver "Larry" from ABF helped me get the 370 lb box into my garage. Thanks Larry. Two of us assembled the sauna in about 30 minutes. The instructions are vague but assembly is intuitive. The panels just fit together with latches. I tested the sauna at 130 degrees, it took about 20 minutes to fully heat. The sauna is definitely large enough to comfortably fit two, not overly large, people. The heat is a soft heat, as described and very comfortable. All in all, I am very pleased with the sauna, and the quick delivery. If you are in the market for a two person sauna this one is worth your serious consideration.

I have owned this sauna for 19 months and use it on a regular (2 to 4 times per week)basis. Contrary to another review posted here, I have had no quality or health issues with this sauna. I remain very satisfied with my sauna. I suspect that the other reviewer does not own and has not experienced this sauna or this type of sauna. Any contemporary assumption that every product made in China is of low quality is just an example of xenophobic thinking. I would not be surprised if a brief investigation disclosed that reviewer to be a competitor.

Hayward SPX1615Z2M 2 Speed Motor Replacement for Hayward Super II Pumps, 2-HP Review

Great product with correct AO Smith two-speed motor. 1/3 hp on low speed, and 2 hp on high speed. 230V. The motor wiring is not the same as much earlier Super II pump motors which are failing right about now. Please pay attention to correct line 1, line 2, neutral, and low speed motor wiring - definitely do not interpret the colors of the wires in the pigtail, as provided with the new motor, as one would expect for a normal 230V circuit. Btw your old motor may still be fine and is quite serviceable if you know what you're doing; things such as the centrifugal switch and both 25 ufd capacitors can be easily serviced or replaced, which might save you the cost of a new motor. The new motor I received was a perfect replacement, but was not packed that well and the side-mounted capacitor cover was dented in shipment. But overall it works perfectly despite the ding, this is a great product at the absolute lowest price I could find ($336 with free shipping).

Hydro Tools 87910 In-Ground Pool Stainless Steel Ladder Handrail Review

First of all... generally you get what you pay for! This is year 3 of having this rail installed, so I did get my monies worth. The finish is holding up GREAT (salt pool) and it looks like it cost 3Xs as much as it did. The problem is the walls are so thin... it will crush at the base if I try to tighten it down in place. I've had a couple 6" steel pipe sections inserted into the legs to give it support so the mounting bolts don't crush it, and it's worked OK. This year I'm going to fill the bottom 8 inches of the legs with cement in hopes of sturdying it up. This will probably cuase it to corrode from the inside out... but I need it sturdy, and not able to swivel in the base as it will now. IF it does corrode over the winter, I will purchase another of the same look... but thicker walls, regardless of price. Bottom line: If $ is an issue, this can work with some support help.

Have had trouble with cloudy water since last Summer. Water testing was perfect at two different stores. Tried everything. Shocking, algaecide, super clarifier. Even changed the sand in the filter and (at the suggestion of some) added some DE to the sand filter. This product is the ONLY thing that worked. Water was clear overnight. Just had to vacuum the stuff on the bottom to waste and has been perfect ever since.
