My 20+ year old above ground pool had a plastic skimmer basket that was cracking apart from being exposed to the sun and weather for too many years. I could not find an exact replacement basket online but after taking measurements, the price was cheap enough and I took a chance on this one. It's not an exact replacement per size, but after about 3 months or more, it's been doing a great job, just as good as the old one. The old one had a small metal weight which kept the basket from floating up an inch or two. This one has no metal weight but stays down no problem, especially when the pump is turned on and water is sucked through it.
