Wish everything in my life went this EASY!!! Old liner was cut out of the pool and this beautiful, thick vinyl liner with installation bead around the top was installed like a dream. It took 4 adults to line up and install the 15 x 30 liner. Put a few inches of water in it and let that sit in the sun to warm up and the wrinkles came out easily (although time consuming because we wanted it done right). The skimmer/input cut out (that we did ourselves) was not as scary as I thought it would be...just filled the water to near that level and let the liner settle (about a day of settle to avoid pulling on the liner) and then cut out and installed the new skimmer/input. The liner design is beautiful and we get many compliments on it.

21-ft. Round Overlap Above Ground Pool Liner - Boulder Swirl - 20-Gauge Review

This review has nothing to do with any seller and wasn't sure how to rate this product itself. I just wanted to warn those consumers with pool walls over 48".
We purchased this liner because it states that it can be used for up to 54" wall pools. Some say 52" but manufacturer says 54".
We have a 52". What the manufacturer is figuring in is that you install 2" of sand (not liner pad) and 6" coving. They are not figuring if you put your walls on top of sand either vs sand inside walls. None the less, we did exactly what the manufacturer has in their figures for their liner (not knowing). The liner for our 52" wall was very, very tight and short. It pulled down our walls at first attempt. We had to use bungy cords to strap walls to ground to prevent that from happening again (we probably should have done from the start). We finally got liner in place and was very disappointed in the lack of overlap over the wall. When we filled with water, liner pulled from wall. I called manufacturer and basically was told it was our error. The rude gentleman told me that the liner is 53.5" and with 2" of sand, should have plenty overlap, and that the liner is made to be tight... Which made my claim even more legitimate as claiming it's NOT LONG ENOUGH. We decided to attempt again with manufacturers lack of support. We measured 1.5" of overlap all around the pool, put the plastic pieces on, along with pieces that go on top of those, made adjustments inside pool to liner to almost perfection. Again, after adding 6" of water, it started pulling in a couple of areas, reducing the 1.5" overlap. We then decided to duct tape liner to wall all the way around and wait till the next day with hot sun beating in these tight areas in order to make them stretch. Thankfully it has worked. This is a beautiful liner and do not believe people are having issues with the 48" walls at all. However, the 52" is not easy to install and takes a lot of patience with very little room for error. I do not see how in the world it could work with a 54" wall at all. We've installed 2 liners in past and have never ran into this situation. Normally have atleast 6" of overlap to play with. Because we learned this liner was not EASY TO INSTALL like the manufacturer advertises on website, it delayed our installation by 3 days. Ridiculous. So those of you that have 52" wall, just know it will work if you do as we have done, unless you use more than 2" of sand and 6" of coving (could make easier). Good luck..it is a beautiful liner.

5 Mil Pool Solar Cover 12 x 24 ft. Rectangle Review

This cover I have been researching since I live in Arizona with full sun ray 9 hours a day. I try to find something that keep the pool clean while cover and not to turn the pool into boiled bath.

However with this cover I think its incredible for the clean purpose to keep dust, leaves and branches from going into the pool. The only negative I must say with the mil solar cover chart is WRONG.

They say
16 mil solar increase 8-10 degree
12 mil solar increase 5-8 degree
10 mil solar increase 0-5 degree
5 mil doesn't increase- doesn't absorb heat

With that CHART, I bought 5 mil! From my pool uncover in 85 degree to covered 5 mil went up to 102 degree in my pool. So in any size mil solar cover you buy will increase heat in your pool no matter what.

With this being said… overall I am happy to have something cover and less cleaning require.

Good price, but some of the eye hole rings feel off before we even opened it up. It is very thin material. In the package there is a sheet explaining that the 8-yr warenty is only something like 40% off a new one after the first year, and it goes down from there. I wouldn't order this one again.

Aquabot Thunder G-Jet Robotic Pool Cleaner Review

I was so excited when I ordered my new robotic pool cleaner a year ago. It didn't take but about 5 minutes for me to start questioning the quality of this cleaner. From parts falling off and snapping off, to screws coming loose, this unit barely made it through the first year.

I noticed a few days ago, just a few weeks past my warranty expiring, that it was just sitting in the pool and not working. I pulled it out gently and began to examine it. Two of the three blades on the fan had broken off! What? It is in a protected area inside the unit. There is no way for debris to get in there. This was obviously a flawed design. Well to replace the fan, you have to replace the whole motor assembly. After shipping and handling, parts and labor... I might as well buy a new unit.

Did it clean? Yes - the first time I ran it after cleaning the filter, it would do a great job of cleaning the pool. After that, it would get a diminishing amount of the pool clean. You really have to clean the filter after every use or it just goes in smaller, and smaller circles while cleaning less and less of your pool.

Issues I have had with this cleaner:
1) Screws come loose during use and fall off.
2) The two floats inside have broken off
3) It is nearly impossible to get the filter out of this unit and back in without bloody knuckles and fingers
4) The cord becomes incredibly tangled and no amount of untwisting will return it to its original shape

This is the cheapest robotic cleaner on the market for a reason - it is the lowest quality. If you need something for a one year fix, then this should do the trick. Otherwise, spend a bit more and get a cleaner that will last.

Badu® Eco M3 - Variable Speed Energy Intelligent Pump with Remote Review

I installed my Speck Eco M3 yesterday to replace a 2.0hp single speed pump and the new pump is unbelievably efficient compared to the old pump. The water flow on high is the same as the 2hp pump. I was pulling 7.5A at 246vac (1845 watts) with the old pump and DE filter and the new pump only draws 3.9A or 959 watts on high speed with a new Hayward C1200 cartridge filter. The nice thing about the Eco M3 is that you run it on low speed for longer and this thing only pulls .4A or an astounding 98.4 watts! I plan on running the pump on low for six hours a day to see if it is enough to keep my pool in balance. If so, the Eco M3 is gonna save me over 230kwh a month or about $23 at San Antonio electricity rates (only 10 cents/kwh with wind premium added in). Amazing!

I own a Nissan Leaf and we drive about 30 miles a day and it uses about 6kwh per day on average. The Speck Eco M3 pump will save us enough electricity to charge up the car for "free". The old pumps were using 3100kwh a year and let us just say that I am a conservative user of pool pumps. I don't run the pump in Jan, Feb, and March due to the water temp being below 70 degrees. I also run the pump at the ragged edge of "not enough" to conserve electricity.
