bought this for $40 at my local pool supply store a few years ago for a dirty pool situation. It cleared the water when clarifiers did not. So it worked great for me. I have a slight problem remembering to do the second step 6 hours later, but it is easy to use.

Solar Heating System for Above Ground Pools Review

The product was a good price for what it is, but according to the box I should need 2 of them for my pool. I am not trying for a sauna, so I am going with one. There are no connector hoses inclused with the package, it is 11 feet long so no matter what you are going to need a 12 foot hose to connect it into your pool system. The instructions also state that you should have a bypass valve, but none is supplied.

It takes a while to assemple, there are 6 small hoses that need to be fed into 3 plastic bags with pleats in them for the hoses. I used a metal rod and some duct tape to make this go faster, but it still took 2 hours. Because of where I mounted the heater, I elected to use 1-1/2" pipes rather than the pleated hose in order to reduce friction. I spent $30 on parts at the hardware store, and $15 for a hose that this should have come with in the first place. There is no mention in the instructions that you have to bleed the air out of it to pass water through. I will ammend this with the heating capacity once it has been running for a while.

Solar Pool Cover For 12"x13" Simpleset Pool Review

I bought this cover because I wanted the pool water warmer. Amazon has a typo. It is 13' not 13"; stating the obvious. It does an excellent job. It fits my 12' pool just fine. If I don't have the filter pump running, the water on the top 3 inches can be very hot, almost so that you can't keep you hand in it. The water on the bottom is cool. If you have the pump on, it circulates the water and keeps the temp consistent all over. Or you can walk around and circulate the water yourself. Once it's circulated around the temp has been around 80-85 degrees F. It gets over 90 when the cover is left on for a few days with hot sun beating on it.

It's better than the standard cover because there are not any holes in it. That prevents rainwater and other debris from getting in which allows you to use fewer chemicals. After it rains, I take a small hose to siphon off the rainwater. This cover is not the bubble wrap type; it is just a translucent blue cover. The rope to tie it around the pool seems a little too short, but I don't even tie it and the wind has never blown it off. It appears like it creates a vacuum and it sticks to the top of the pool. Overall it is a great product.

I ordered this guard to help cover up a stained skimmer face plate and help with my grandson's toys from being gobbled up in the skimmer. That it does very well. It is very easy to install and with mormal skimming activity it does just fine. However with larger debis and leaves it tends to jam up in the openings of the guard and can stop the water flow into the pump. Obviously that will cause a problem and may cause damage to your pump, beware!

Summer Escapes 15 x 42 Quick Set Swimming Pool Set Review

My husband and I purchased a PRO SERIES pool this summer. Of course we should have did the research because we didn't know it was made by SUMMER ESCAPES or associated with SUMMER ESCAPES. We purchased the SUMMER ESCAPES last year and filled it up and it leaked in different areas at the seams. Welp... another summer and more money spent in water!!! Here it is June 24th 2013... filled the pool up yesterday and water leaking out from different areas all around the seams. Nothing like going to water the garden and clean the pool on this hot summer morning and seeing water squirting out of the seams at the bottom of the pool. All I was thinking about was how I was going to go inside and tell my husband. GOODNESS!!! So, we are spending the day draining the pool. Lovely day for me and so much for my son's pool party today. $230 something out the window plus water. Wonder what SUMMER ESCAPES is going to say to my husband this year??? Last year we lost the receipt and all they said was that all their "parts, liners, etc. are all back ordered". Lovely customer service, huh?
