I have owned this for approximately one year. Got it from Woot for $500.00. So, I really like it now, seeing Amazon's price of $750.00, I like that is does NOT run off your existing filter system, It is a self-contained unit with its own filter bag. Generates sufficient suction to climb walls and steps with ease. I have a large (for a residence) pool and generally use the 2 hour cycle twice when I run it. If you run it with a lot of leaves on the bottom it will ballon the filter bag making it more difficult to remove, That is my only caution. It will collect the sand from the bottom with ease. I live a block off the atlantic and my pool is not screened, so it collects wind blown sand,

I would definitely buy this unit again and highly recommend it to owners of an in-ground pool.
