Super easy to assemble. We have an in ground liner style pool "Islander" with an 18" raised deck at one end and sides that slope inward and these steps work perfect. I did have to cut some small blocks (shims) die to my deck but other than that - perfect. If you are using it for an standard above ground pool you will not need to cut any shims but will need 40-45 pounds of gravel for the ballast container which keeps the steps from floating. I used the included 3 suction cups which fit on the bottom step since the ballast container is made for standard above ground pools and fits behind the steps.

High quality and durable construction. Installer told me it was more in-line with commercial grade construction. Got this thru Amazon for roughly the same price as the low-grade, low-end, cheapo Frontier I series the local pool supply shop was selling. Couldn't be happier with purchase and price based on the comparative shopping I did. S.R. Smith is the best top-grade quality for diving board construction. The only "downfall" I'd say is it's not very springy/bouncy since it is a solid plank of fiberglass construction. The cheaper models have a single or double rib of fibergalls plank whereas this is solid all the way across. That's why it is rated at 400 lbs as opposed to 250 lbs. You will not have to worry about this one tearing up or getting broken for a long, long time.

Not much to say. Looks like the old one. Fits and works just fine. Shipped on time. Does not seem any stronger or weaker than the original. Looks exactly the same. Likely came from the same factory.

Only negative would be price... but this was the going market price for this part. Sure looks like it could sell for about half the current price. But it doesn't... not anywhere I could find.

We purchased Robelle 3 month algae control about 2 years ago and I am currently ordering 4 more bottles. Being in the southeast with lots of big trees surrounding our home and pool and with water temperatures that can get in the low 90's, algae was a constant battle. I finally decided to try this 3 month algaecide after failing with every other weekly or bi-weekly one from every area pool store. To make this simple, I have not had a single algae plume since adding this product. It has also worked much longer than 3 months between use. One thing about this product that you need to be aware of: I used it as directed the first time we put it in the pool. We found it to mildly irritate the eyes after prolonged pool exposure (more than 30 minutes). We cut back 1/3 of the algaecide and have had no problems since. It still worked longer than 3 months. Probably could cut back more. The 4 bottles lasted 2 years if that tells you anything. We keep our pool open all year (just easier to maintain). When the water falls below 68F you don't need as much algaecide.

100% MPS vs 42.9% MPS

I was fooled by the "Contains 100% MonoPerSulfate" and 4.75% Active Oxygen product.
It is "100% MPS COMPOUND" !!
I have a bag in my hand.
Ok, lemonade also "contains 100% lemons" too. I'm still looking for the elusive 75% lemon. But then, I don't get out much.
You can almost see "compound" if you enlarge the picture. (why doesn't their pic magnify?)

Search for DuPont Oxone. It is a leading MPS packaged by L and others, per their web site.
In DuPont's Oxone PDFs, you will see:

I don't think a 100% "KHSO5" is sold for consumer use.

Notice on all the other brands who HONESTLY label their products say the same. They are 100% Oxone.

IN MY SPA
I've used MPS for a two years now. Based on testing, I use a 1/2 oz of bleach a week for sanitation and 1/2 - 1 TBls of MPS after each dip. Fantastic, clear, no skin irritation from chemical buildup and way less ring around the edge. (Why is it that I clean the edge while my wife points out the bits I missed?)

The MPS releases the CL so the CL can sanitize again. Per TroubleFreePool (and my multi test kit) I have the right amount of this and that per the experts. With new water, I start with 2 Tablespoons of typical pool/spa dichlor and use it for about a month. I adjust the hardness, alkalinity, CYA, etc if needed during this month. Then I switch to bleach and MPS. They say I don't need much MPS, because it is expensive (for a pool) and with careful testing you can use less. Careful? Who me? 1/2 TBls per dip is cheap and I'm lazy. For the family, it is a simple rule to follow, even for me.
