Update------- We got a over a foot of moderately wet snow and I used it on a second pass later in the day on 6" of snow and it went through it with less clogging than my single stage gas snowblower. The cord is a minor hassle but otherwise I like it. It's quiet and doesn't smell....

I bought this mainly because I wanted a lighter weight snowblower that I need to take over 2 sets of stairs. When I first tried it the snow was very wet, early in the season when it wasn't very cold out and it started clogging when I was about finished. Now that it's colder it does a better job and it seems to throw the snow more vigorously the heavier the snow it goes through. I've never had it throw snow over 4 or 5 feet but that's not a problem. I sprayed some silicone on the chute and that seemed to help keep it from clogging. I haven't used it on deep snow yet so the jury's still out on that...

Update: We had a very wet, heavy snow last night and it was working well - it was throwing the slush like a fountain and clogging was very minimal and didn't have to manually unclog it. Used my gas snow blower on the driveway and it was clogging a lot more so I'm very happy with the electric snow blower.

Pros:
- It's lightweight
- Starting is simple
- It's quieter and not smelly like my gas snowblower - and no need to keep gas on hand.
- Cost - I paid $179.00 - for what it does, not bad.

Cons:
- Sometimes clogs
- It has a lock you have to push first to engage the motor lever, which is a pain. I put a plastic C clamp on it so it's unlocked all the time.
- The cord. However I have a low temp blue cord on a reel and before beginning I unreel it in a pile and it works out OK but occasionally will get hung up on something. I just throw the cord over my shoulder when operating it and it's not a big problem.
