I was getting a CE error on my Hayward 250 heater display panel. Couldn't find info on which board was bad. It was either the Display board or the ignition circuit board. Old ignition board was not providing a pulse in the clock voltage on the CLK and DAT terminals. Occasionally the CLK would pulse, but the DAT never did. I replaced this board and now have continuous voltage pulses on CLK and DAT terminals. Problem solved. You can test your with a standard voltmeter set to 50V AC. The AC terminal should provide constant AC voltage. The DAT and CLK should provide a lesser voltage with a pulse (both DAT and CLK should be equal voltage). And the COM is ground.
