This POS blows as much snow onto itself than it does two feet away. you can't start at the middle and blow toward the edges because the snow doesn't go more than a couple of feet and it lands on what you're going to blow next. you have to start at the edges and work toward the middle THEN start back in the middle and work out. I have had electric tools in the past and have never had so much trouble with a cord - primarily because I didn't have to go back over the same area so many times. the softer blade is nice as it doesn't chip concrete but it also doesn't clear snow that's been walked on... like ALL of the snow you had to walk on to clear that path three times. It clogs easily, and your right hand will get tired since the ON handle is only for your right hand (it's a BREEZE to start! and lightweight) This made-in-china product is not "Troy Built" and I would return it if I could. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Troy-bilt Flurry 1400 Electric Snow Thrower" are high quality item.
