Received for Christmas yesterday. Used today for the first time. This is the cheapest, flimsiest piece of junk imaginable. The manufacturers should truly be ashamed of themselves to charge $90 for something this flimsy. I write technical documentation for a living and am the world's biggest stickler for following the directions. The center hole in the blade is drilled too small; you'll either have to drill it larger or hammer the bolt in and risk damaging the plastic. After assembled, the wheels have so much play in them and are attached at such a severe angle, they are completely useless. The blade sits on the ground and catches on pebbles in the driveway; because of the design the blade can't be lifted slightly to pass over high spots. The worst part is that the entire shovel has to be lifted off the ground in higher snow to change the direction of the blade, and let me tell you this thing weighs a ton. So much for the 'easy on the back' design. Despite tightening the "self-locking nuts" on the wheels with a pair of pliers and channel-locks simultaneously, within 1/2 hour of use they had fallen off. After refastening, one nut fell off and was lost in the 1" of light snow, so I had to head out to Home Depot to get a replacement. After reattaching, one wheel fell off and was lost in the snow bank. Now I have 1 wheel, no shovel and am out $90. I'm not asking for a replacement wheel; this will be returned tomorrow. I would not use this thing again and refuse to pay $90 for such a poorly made and designed product. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Dakota SnoBlade Snow Blade Removal Shovel w/ Wheels" are high quality item.
