This salt spreader came in handy, but the lid could use bigger holes for larger rock salt. If you are using those small pellet-sized ice-melting beads, then this spreader will work just fine. However, if you load it with large rock salt, then the large chunks of salt will not make it through the small holes on the lid. I have to remove the cap most of the time.

They should redesign the lid to be more like those cooking spice dispensers that have small holes on one side and larger ones on the other.
