Have owned this hot tub for over 5 years with no problems whatsoever in New York winters. Works with 110v current, while 98% of the other hot tubs need 220v. It's not the biggest or the fastest to heat up, but it maintains 104 degree water just fine - even during the winter. Perfect for two people and a couple of kids. The one complaint I have which is not unique to this hot tub, is that the stock covers aren't thermally insulated enough for New York winters. So, I replaced my cover as soon as it started getting colder to save money on the electric bill.
