The Pentair 353049 impeller was the replacement that I was looking for. After visiting several pool supply stores & installers, I was told that the impeller was obsolete. After reviewing several computer based purchasing sites & pool equipment catalogues, that did seem to be the case, but strangely enough, Amazon had the impeller. It was difficult to install until a friend was able to help with an array of tools that were applicable. The impeller itself is a simple molded plastic design. What is very difficult is getting the precise size impeller for the precise casing & applying the measurement of 1/32 in. variance for a perfect fit of the "key" ridge along the motor's extension rod. All of these facts were obscure but were found with a vigorous computer search for the blow-up diagram of the pool motor filter.

Amazon's delivery service seemed to drop the ball with this one, but they are trying to compensate for the delivery date several days later than the outside date promised. At least they are attempting to be responsible for their error, and that is to their credit.
