The seals work great if you put it together correctly. I didn't - TWICE! The first time result in a minor leak and the second time ruined an impeller. So BE VERY OBSERVANT when you remove the old seal. Put the two halves of the new seal in exactly the same way. Hard plastic to graphite. So, a great seal but the instructions were not clear and didn't cope with the fact that I didn't pay enough attenmtion when removing the old seal.
