I purchased both the ladder and the stabilizer kit at the same time. Using it for a 16 x 48 Intex pool. Much more stable than the one that came with the pool, and I like the flat platform at the top of the steps instead of having to step from the outside to the inside of the pool to the top step either direction. I don't have small children to worry about, but the steps being able to be raised and locked up is a great plus if needed to protect the children. It was easy to put together, and the stabilizer kit just gives that much more of a base plate outside the pool to keep it from wobbling. I have recommended this ladder to many friends.
