I've tried many automatic pool cleaners and the Polaris 65 is by far the best. I purchased the Polaris 60 when it first came out. Then purchased the Polaris 65, this over the course of about 20 years. I tried other pool cleaners and none are as good as or inexpensive as the Polaris 65. My current one wasn't working and needed this new part. I decided it was time for something different and I purchased a self contained electric pool cleaner. After awhile I got tired of putting it in and taking it out. So I purchased this replacement mechanism for the Polaris 65 and it runs like new. The Polaris 65 stays in the pool and constantly keeps it clean. We only take it out when we have a crowd swimming.
