16 x 32 Rectangle Fine Mesh Pool Winter Covers Review

Bought one two years ago and about to buy another due to a several large holes that occurred over two winters but that's not any worse than my past experience with more traditional nonporous covers that cost as much. Difficult rural location adjacent to woods with lots of gnawing rodents and occasional falling branches.

It works on a 16x32 pool although if you want a 12" drop it will barely cover the coping. However it can be stretched fairly tight with just a little sag and rainfall will go through like with a LoopLoc. Much easier to remove from pool since water on top will slowly penetrate the cover as you pull it back and cover itself is lighter weight than nonporous covers I have used. Works well in the fall to keep leaves out during the week. Grommets around the perimeter are a great help in securing the cover especially in a fairly tightly stretched state. Can't say whether it keeps water perfectly clean over a winter since I get at least a few holes each winter with any cover but seems to work as well as a nonporous cover for me.

Dolphin Triton Robotic Cleaner Review

I recently purchased the Triton to replace an Aquabot Turbo whose motor burned out for the second time in 4 years. I am so far very pleased with this cleaner- the only reason it will not get five stars is that it is too early to assess durability. The Triton is much easier to use than the Aquabot- it is one button to turn on with a standard three hour cycle. It moves very quickly and leaves my 18x44 pool spotless. The caddy makes storage and transportation to and from my shed very easy. I was initially wary of using cartridge filters rather than a bag, but they are very easy to clean with my garden hose. As long as this product does not break in 3 years it is everything you need in a pool cleaner.
And just to address some negative reviews, you cannot rely on a robotic cleaner to do everything. You still have to manually vacuum at opening, and you need to brush off the walls and stairs before using the robot as it will always miss some spots in these areas.

Filbur FC-3117 Antimicrobial Replacement Filter Cartridge for Poolco 120 Pool and Spa Filters Review

This filter was about half the price of my local pool store and so far so good. It filters the water well. Update: I use Baquacil in my pool and I don't know if this is why but I have been having to clean the filter every other day. It is really annoying. So, I ended up going to the local pool store and getting another filter. Cost me $120. But I know from experience it works well. Too bad. I had really hoped to save some money. Update 7.20.13: Turns out my filter system wasn't working properly. The expensive filter didn't work either! My pool turned into a mess. It's hopefully fixed now and both filters are working fine.
