I replaced the spring and spider gasket on my Pentair Tagelus TA100D sand filter. The new spring created lots of pressure on the gasket and it would not stay seated after reassembly. I tried super glue, the strongest silicon I could find, and spray adhesive. My local pool store recommended a strong silicone. No store-bought glue worked. In addition, it was a pain in the butt scraping off the failed dried glue. I researched and found this adhesive. It's pricy, but after tearing down and cleaning the valve five times, I wish I had used it the first time. Make sure to put it on thick and let it dry overnight.
