This is a generic replacement for the original Hayward product. It does fit correctly into the skimmer opening and remains there. It is lighter than the original and most of the hole openings still have small slivers of plastic around each opening. Many of the openings were blocked by this imperfection and I gave up trying to clear each and every hole. The basket handle is very light weight and flimsy. With careful handling and patience this basket should last a season or two. It is true, you get what you pay for.
