The key to these pools is that you need to be diligent about keeping the pool water clean. If you do so you'll enjoy these INTEX pools a lot. Ours sits on a level raised deck so grass doesn't easily get in it (you may want to use your driveway if it's level... and it must be level!) and the kids know to wipe their feet before swimming. The filters on these are junk! Save money and buy a small pool skimmer and skim it every day. Also buy the appropriate pool cover for your pool and cover it every night or when not in use. It helps if you float a couple (three) inflatable inner tubes under the cover to prevent it from sagging during heavy rain storms. We also put interconnected foam squares under ours (you may want to use indoor/outdoor carpeting) to prevent wear on the bottom or perhaps a hole from developing. Make sure to take it down and carefully dry it before the cool weather arrives. We towel and sun dry ours before we repack it, every summer it looks brand new. This all sounds like a lot of work and it is but if you're on a limited budget like us and still want to enjoy soaking in the cool water on a hot summer day then you'll need to follow these hints to fully enjoy your pool.
