What this means to you is that in combination with the patented tire treads, the cleaner has the power to overcome obstacles that normally stop other cleaners. SELF ADJUSTING TURBINE VANES All the POOLCLEANER cleaners have the patented self-adjusting turbines, which maximizes the power from the water flow. In addition the folding vanes of the turbine allow for the easy passage of larger debris through the cleaner. STEERING SYSTEM The Pressure POOLCLEANER is the only pressure side cleaner with an internal programmed steering system, that causes the left wheels to periodically turn backwards, allowing the POOLCLEANER to turn and then move into another direction. For the Pressure POOLCLEANER there are three different programmed turns ranging from 90 to 540 degrees and this allows the pressure POOLCLEANER to travel 12 to 14 ft. before it turns. For years I had been using the Polaris 360 cleaners in my pool and they had been doing a good job of cleaning up debris. But the high purchase price and constant repairs had me thinking about a change when my most recent one became unrepairable. Through lots on online research I found "The Pool Cleaner, Poolvergnuegen". I purchased it from another online retailer (they had a better price) and put it into my pool. It is designed and works just like my 360 so there wasn't much do as far as setting it up. However I read the entire manual and set the hose length, revolutions per minute, rear jet, etc. just as instructed. Right away I noticed that it did not climb very high on the walls and it spent 90% of the run time in the deep end of the pool. In fact it never cleaned the shallow end at all and also left two other areas dirty as well. In the next week I spent many many hours, at least 10 phone calls to the manufacturer's customer service people, several calls to the retailer and a lot of hours out by the pool trying every change they suggested. The manufacturer seemed to really try to help me. They even sent out some alternate parts to make it work better. After lots of $$$ and frustration, ultimately it just didn't do the job. The manufacturer said that they wouldn't take it back because they couldn't resell it. The retailer basically said that a return was up to the manufacturer so I am now stuck with a $450 boat anchor! It seems obvious that you cannot see if a new pool cleaner is going to work unless you put it into your pool and try it out but if you do then no one wants to take it back. I'm not that old but I can remember a time when people stood behind their products.
Save yourself a lot of time and trouble and don't buy this pool cleaner.
