We bought ours last year from our local pool place for $150. Assembly was pretty easy it goes together with nuts and bolts so a socket set makes putting it together much easier and quicker.

The main feature I like about this is the fact that the steps of the ladder slide upward and that it has a tab were you can insert a padlock to keep little ones from being able to climb into the pool.

I do have some minor quibbles with the design however. Its a resin product and the handrails are a 1/2 circle. Even though the plastic seams decently thick the handles do flex considerably something that is disconcerting especially when adults are on it. Secondly I'm 230 lbs and when I step on either the steps or the platform there is some "give" that once again is disconcerting and makes you feel uncomfortable being on it.

This summer I think I'm going to order the stabilizer that's designed for it to see if that helps at all I also think I'm going to take a closer look at bracing it somehow maybe by either bolting a cedar plank on top or below the main platform and possibly using stainless deck screws to further hold it together better. Not sure we just put the pool up today for the summer and I came online to see what the stabilizer pc runs.

So right now its $199
the stabilizer costs $50

Personally I would NOT spend $250 on this ladder and in all honesty I'm hesitant to spend an additional $50 to see if the extra part truly helps any.
