This unique winter pool cover has an extra layer of silver material that deflects heat to keep your pool water cooler while helping prevent algae growth. Functional silver fabric works in conjunction with a black colored bottom layer to prevent light penetration that causes algae growth. Extra-wide material reduces the number of seams decreasing possibilities for rips or tears. All seams are heat sealed (rather than sewn) to prevent water from entering the pool. The Super Polar Plus II has an extra-large 4-foot overlap to comfortably fit your pool. Please order by pool size, all covers accommodate an 18-inch water drop. For the price, the pool cover is fine.It has a 16 year warrantee. However, based on 30 years of purchasing pool covers, I can expect probably around 3-4 years before I will need to replace it. I live in the Northeast.I have always used a Chlorinated type of Winter Kit, which doesn't help the longevity of any cover. I was a little surprised at the smaller thickness for the price. The last cover purchased 5 years ago, at approximately the same price, was much thicker and of a better quality...Five years later, the same price does not get you the same quality product...If it lasts the expected 3-5 years, I will be somewhat satisfied. The cover comes with a cable tighting system that is simple and easy to work with, and does the job very well. Overall, its a good cover, for the price, and only time will tell if it lasts the next 3-4 years, with minimum amount of spring cleanup...
